A strong sequel/prequel to "2010", though probably not quite as entertaining as that one. The tension that comes from us as an audience knowing more than the characters do works really well. This is also a fantastic opportunity to bring back Senator Kinsey. I'd really like to know what happens to Ambassador Joe, though, they leave that hanging!
This works on another level too watching it in early 2021 as we begin to roll out vaccines for our own pandemic.
Good follow-up to the first Aschen episode - I'd been wondering if anything would come of that note O'Neill had written (and hoped it wouldn't be too vague).
I keep feeling like a bunch of SG-1 episodes end really abruptly, though, including this one and the previous episode with the Tollans. Maybe it's just me, I just feel like I keep expecting one more scene before the end credits.
Peeked into the future via IMDB credits, and sadly we do not see Ambassador Faxon ever again. Sounds like there might have been a third installment in the Aschen saga planned, but it never reached production. (https://www.gateworld.net/sg1/s5/2001/

Damn shame.
Political crap and time travel nonsense.

Nice follow up to the great "2010" episode.
