To be perfectly honest I didn’t think this was great, the upcoming episodes might make it better but if I hadn’t heard so many times how amazing steins gate was I wouldn’t keep watching, which isn’t really what you would normally want in a pilot
I vaguely remember considering this one of my favorite animes when I was in high school, but now that I'm rewatching it, I'm wondering how the pilot managed to make an interesting mystery seem so not-compelling. The pacing was so dragging, and there was something about the atmosphere that personally made the episode so unwatchable.
