Hate to see this show end, as it is one of my favorites!
Was one of the best shows until season 6 and 7
This is a fantastic series. A highly recommended watch. Armitage is great, but then Stapleton and Winchester step in as leads, and take the show to new heights. But (there is always a but isn't there?), I will warn you to stop after them. The new 2017 season is very weak and sub-par compared to previous ones. Even though as an Aussie I love seeing more Australians in the series, the acting is quite weak. Unfortunately, the money is not there any more either, and it shows on screen. Also the actors were not SAS trained (unlike Armitage, Stapleton and Winchester), and it shows in the way they handle weapons.
Great first season. Any season after that is just pure trash. No creativity what so over. Just pure and typical Hollywood plot. The main characters are invisible but everyone else around them can catch a bullet. Stupidness.
One word to describe this show...FUN
Would've been better if there was an engaging plot of some sort -- one of those shows that if you accidentally hit the DVR fast-forward, there's no real need to backtrack ;-)

I really like this show, despite the decline in quality over the final few seasons (once Scott and Stonebridge leave). It has enough drama and emotion to draw you out. The acting is suspect at times, but it's a fun show that isn't necessarily dialogue-driven... so the tactics become more important. In the last few seasons, they decided "things blowing up" was more entertaining than having sound tactics or believable fights/gun battles, but that happens when a show goes on for so long. If you're watching this show for "realism" then this one is not for you. However, if you're able to suspend your disbelief, this is a fun ride.
It did strike me that the writing became very, very lazy towards the end... I suppose they ran out of source material but still wanted to make the show/make money... but they do a good job subbing fun in for substance, and I'm okay with that trade-off in a show like this. They aren't pretending to be Citizen Kane here, after all. They did kill a few characters I didn't expect, which starts you guessing things like "if they'll kill Mac, who WON'T they kill?" It was a smart choice, given the lack of depth in that season otherwise.
It's good that the show ended when it did. Trying to do any more would have been pushing an already thin IP to a point where it would sour the whole thing.

Damn it was good! A really good OST, fun in every episodes, well coordinated action, awesome landscapes and an efficient casting, I really enjoyed to watch Strike Back, we need more shows like this one :/
One of a kind, plenty of action to go around in this adrenaline filled action series which is pretty damn fun to watch.
I agree with phyr5 that the "churn" is a little much for me, as well. But, it's the best action/specops show since The Unit on CBS. For anyone who likes Strike Back, be sure to watch The Unit, too.
I love this show! Brings back those action moments from the 80´s but without being cheesy! Intense and so cool! Stonebridge and Scott are just superb! Tough and likable! And lots and lots of hot women every episode! And nudity! And action! Its just a really entertaining show!
Strike back has been confirmed for another season! Really glad they didn't drop it, they really picked up after the first season.
This is a great and entertaining show! If you're looking for realism this isn't the show for you, but that's exactly what makes this show great. Great acting and special effects. This show deserves more attention then it currently gets.
Hoping for a season 4, or actually a season 3 cause the studio/network are acting very weirdly about season 1 (Like season 1 was never made). Probably because of the main character dropping out after the first season.
I'm glad i encouraged myself to watch it, from s01e01 it just gets better and better. Season 1 i would say was "so-so" / "ok" but season 2 is awesome.

Dropped it a couple of episodes into S3. Feels a bit like "24" with two Jack Bauers. It was fun at first, and in a way still is, but the stories are becoming repetitive and uninventive. They just replace on bad guy with another from season to season and the main story becomes a copy of a copy. Muslims, terrorist, WMDs, yadda yadda yadda. And for an intelligence unit they do make stupid decisions at times. Which of course they need to do for the sake of the story.
S1 was promising but it made a 180 at the beginning of S2. Now it's basically just shooting and having sex. Way too much sex that does nothing for the plot or character developement but is just there. The rest is like a real life attempt of an ego-shooter where you never get hit and kill 2 guys with one bullet yourself. I don't feel challenged by the stories.
Ok, if you just want action but really nothing more in my opinion.
Still good fun with the proverbial grain of salt. Fortunately their opponents are the worst shots in history, And please take better care f your nukes.

I loved the previous 5 series all of them .I'm struggelling to get a handle onthis season but it's slowly growing on me Sargent Mac is too much like he just came out of boot camp green behind the ears .all the other caracters is beter .it is the American sargent Whyat that is the voice of reason and seems like the veteran .as a elite force it is suppose to be a bunch of specialist and tough asses that has attitude because they are that good

This is one of the best series I have watched. You can call it the first complete series I binge watched.

Killing off the main character and leaving all these characters we don't know killed season 2. Completely lost interest after the first few eps of season 2, they literally clear the entire season 1 cast off. It's retarded. There has to be some continuity or you may as well call it a different tv series.
One of the best shows right now...Season 1,2 and so far 3 are great.
This series is badass! I wish they'd kept Armitage in as lead though.
