I like one true pairing romances. And i like when drama happens between them yet they still love each other. Near the end i was going like "Awww" and i like that the show made me care for these characters. Honestly it's Abby who is carrying the show kind of. She's more interesting than Alec, Swamp Thing, though he's an interesting character himself. There hasn't been not nearly enough of introspection and questioning of Alec about his new form. He hasn't had enough screen time and things to do. And Alec himself (the human form when not Swamp Thing) hasn't had enough screentime yet.
But i still like Abby and Alec. And while their romance hasn't had enough time to develop all throughout the show, i'm still kinda interested in it. Abby is carrying this show, because the individual and over-arching stories just isn't that interesting to me, and Swamp Thing hasn't had enough characterization or things to do to interest me that much in him. The story should have been centered more on or around him in order for us to focus on him, what he does, who he is, and his relationships. They have starting doing this more in the second half of the season, but it's very late.
There's quite a few plot elements that don't make sense or are convoluted in reasoning and should have been removed, and even some sideplots should have been removed or shortened, and less side characters. I would have made a more philosophical and personal version. But overall i still enjoy the show.
The ending was so predictable. It's like writers nowadays couldn't care less about making scenes like that unpredictable instead. Like Avery actually being dead. But I'll admit that Lucilia, Maria, and Matt all being apart of the "getting rid of Avery" plan was unexpected.

This show keeps getting better. How can DC Universe expect more subscribers. After canceling this great show.
I heard it was due to creative issues, not money issues.
