Very solid finish.
Tehran is an interesting series. It avoids typical Hollywood cliches by adding many shades of grays to all principle characters. In fact, the series paints the Mossad (Israel) as more evil of the two opposing sides.
The series is ultimately more about the Iranian people, unnecessarily caught between politics. In many ways, Tehran plays more like Jason Bourne minus high caliber actions.
From the get go, Faraz became my favorite character. He is a conflicted man who cares about his wife and his country, compelled to do the very best job but conflicted by the corruptions and hypocrisies of his government. This season finale establishes Faraz as the man in control, aided by his meticulous disciplines and empathy.
Like Bourne, Tamar evolves from her comfort zone and goes rogue for what she believes is right.
Like the first season before it, this season has many questionable and uneven parts, such as clumsy action sequences and incomplete character arcs.
Topping it all is Glenn Close's Marjan character. Her character was neither properly utilized nor developed, leaving her arc ultimately incomplete and unsatisfying. While Milad was vastly improved from the first season's flat portrayal, I am just done with this character (and thankfully, so did the final moment on this episode).
Great final 2 episodes, kinda glad Milad is dead tbh tho lmao
Damn another edge of your seat episode. Amazing ending. Kind of saw that car explosion coming but still was surprised. Tamar going to go on a rampage next season to get revenge. Can’t wait for season 3.
Season 2 of Tehran was a big jump up from Season 1 imo. Especially the second half of the season was so well written. It could not have been more thrilling. Also the writers of this show are not afraid to kill off important characters, which can be sad, but moves the story in interesting directions. That ending was the bomb! I really hope the show gets renewed because we need a continuation after this cliffhanger.

Great finale, but I was hoping Milad would turn out to be an undercover agent for the Sepah (thinking he botched the car assassination purposefully) and would have had to blow his cover to stop Tamar.
