Worst season of the show. It basically destroyed the entire purpose and spirit of the series by trying to inject Stargate plotlines that goes nowhere, terrible character plots and cringe dialogue, and overused drama that make every character look like a clown. Don't waste your time in this season wanting to know the ending.
I was actually prepared for the worst, so the season finale was not a bad experience for me at all. Sure, there were inconsistencies, and the overall quality of the series was quite erratic, but this was an okay way to finish. We've all seen much worse, and at least most of the important characters of this season ended up alive and happy, which is what you would expect and hope for a "teenage" series. Sure, at some points, it tried to be much deeper and more scientific than it was, but after all, it was an enjoyable teenage sci-fi series that was completed by the finale.
So many plot points stolen from Stargate and such a ridiculous ending.
To say i am disappointed in the way S7 ended is an understatement. You could clearly see the type of internal struggle between Bob Morley and the producer Jason Rothenberg. Bob’s arc ended in such a ridiculous way, where the entire fandom wanted Clarke and Bellamy to end up together (they CLEARLY loved each other!) ,she ends up killing him after he’d become brainwashed (also ridiculous, since Bellamy was such a strong character, very opinionated and not easily shaken.
Definitely the worst season of the whole show with the story getting even more flabby than the cast! Much of the story for the last few seasons has been tiresome with some highs, this season lacked even the highs with endless, supposedly deep & meaningful, monologues trotted out at EVERY opportunity, coupled with what one can only assume was the need for the make-up department to burn through an over-purchase of tear sticks that were nearing their 'use by' date! As has been commented on in other reviews the 'girls kick ass' theme was becoming way overdone a few seasons ago, about the same time the whole stereotyping / agenda pushing nature of the show got more aggravating than the garbage storyline. The big bonus with season 7 - IT'S OVER!!!!
The end of an incredible series. I will miss the character and these memories will chase me everytime. Finn, Murphy & Bellamy death was heartbreaking. Waiting for the 2nd phase.
May We Meet Again.

So glad this train wreck is finally done. Kinda like a bad relationship you know you need to get out of but just keep hoping it will be better. Well it never does.
This whole series had your typical conflicts and needlessly forced drama, but all in all the story arcs weren't horrible and you could sorta suspend belief.
But this final season has just been utter garbage.
Female characters suddenly turned into stereotypical lesbians butch types for no apparent reason and a few look terrible. Characters changed personality also for no apparent reasons. Lack of continuity and explanation, confusing story lines kinda went off to nowhere. Motivations are unreliable and random. I'm sure the PC police will crack down on me, but the whole "Girls Kick Ass" gets tedious. Except for Shadeheda, no man can stand against the magnificent power of the Mary Sues.
I'm so sick of agenda driven story telling. A. it's insulting to our intelligence and B. Its crap story telling.
I don't know if Hollywood is in its own echo chamber or these people really think this is good stuff. Probably a little of both, but it's a shame. The premise was good. The production value was good. The acting was good for the most part given the script. But it's unbearable to slog thru this knowing it could have been so much better.
