A really gut-wrenching episode but so exceptionally well acted. TV doesn‘t get any better than this.
I was 9 years old in 1997, and as an American, I am not a subject of the British monarchy, but this episode was extremely heavy. I am not ashamed to say I shed some tears during this. The United States and the United Kingdom, regardless of our 18th and 19th century conflicts, are brothers of a sort. America stands with Britain, at least in my mind. :us: :gb:
Wonderful episode with really great acting. Even I've missed some scenes I've cried a lot while watching.
Heartbreaking. :broken_heart: I remember this happening growing up and not understanding the full gravity until I was older.
the chat with the death... was to cringe.
Okay, now we reiterate Morgan's "The Queen" with an extra helping of pathos... and Diana appears as some kind of ghost to change the queen's mind... yeah, right. Where the "conversation" with Charles might seem natural, the one with the queen definitely does not.
And Charles bawling his eyes out in the hospital? Not likely. I'll believe that scene in the highlands, but not that one. And for all the grief he shows here... somehow this show turned Charles into such a whiny, selfish character that the portrayal of this grieving ex-husband, who doesn't already think about how this death might turn things around for him, comes a bit out of the left field, even given their brief conversation in an earlier episode this season.
So, I'm glad this storyarc is over and done with already - took long enough.
Who wrote this :poop:? Ghost Diana?! Ridiculous!
„They‘re not crying for her. They‘re crying for you“
There’s a giant branch in my eye I can’t seem to get out
why was my immediate reaction that there's no way charles publicly cried, or cried that much over diana's death?
The queen's speech was far colder in real life. A princess died but a legend was born. Superb acting.
William look like Rasmus Hojlund
