Some pretty barebones writing, but it still gave me a few chuckles.
The thing I'm really here for is the animation, and it overdelivers on its promise, to be sure.
Soundtrack and voice acting are really solid, too.

This is the culmination of me reading those Cuphead dime comics that were published recently and playing the Nintendo Switch game!!
Never played the game but as a standalone introduction to this world, it’s pretty enjoyable. Aesthetically pleasing to look at, grainy visual quality to reflect the animation style & era it’s influenced by, and solid voice acting. Story was a little standard and only a handful of jokes are chuckle worthy, but it still leaves me curious to what happens next.
