This show is at its best when this family are a bit obnoxious and painful to be around, and Beef’s frankness about his sexual issues- and Wolf’s overeagerness to support him- are certainly that. Judy’s reactions are a great running gag throughout. But Beef slowly opening up romantically has also been one of the best plot lines of the show, very earnest and empathetic, and this progressed that. And on top of that, Ham gets a very sweet moment.
