So what started as a great cliff hanger and I HATE saying that (https://trakt.tv/comments/271662) turns into a ..... a time skip? WTH? This is a HORRIBLE way to pick up after that last episode. There's no anxious searching for her.. nah Patrick Jane is just strolling through a crime scene.. why would this character even show up to a crime scene? Red John kidnapped a friend of his at least. Why isn't it opening with him in CBI offices yelling about why they should be focusing this because he's clearly so close. Why isn't he hunting for clues on how Red John found the kids who pretended to be him. Why isn't he interviewing the kid who was shot in the leg? These are all things that fit the character. Instead we open with Patrick Jane walking into an unrelated crime scene and then in the most milquetoast way ever saying he doesn't want to do the case. It's weird.
