[7.5/10] One of the best of the lot! There’s something pretty repetitive about Homer constantly timing the family for bomb shelter drills, but I like the twist at the end where the rest of the family turns the tables on him to finally be able to get some sleep. It feels more Simpson-y in its humor than earlier shorts, and I can see why they included a clip from it in the “138th Episode Spectacular.” In terms of firsts, I believe it’s the first we see of Grampa (as a picture on the wall), and the first time Homer pronounces it “nuke-you-lerr.”
