[5/10] Too cartoony for my tastes. Bart riding around on sharks and getting fake eaten by them is a bridge too far for me. There’s a couple chuckle-worthy gags (mostly just Homer calling a fish that looks like him “repulsive), and the animation work when Homer’s furious at Bart is pretty good and expressive. But this one plays too wacky. In terms of firsts, we not only get the first invocation of Bart having a “lucky red ___” (in this case trunks rather than a hat) but also get Homer thinking his son bit the dust when finding it, presaging “Bart Gets Famous”.
