[7/10] “Home Hypnotism” isn’t amazing, but it’s solid, so I’ll take it! There’s some neat animation with the kids “bouncing off the walls.” Plus there’s a lot of good turns in this one! Homer and Marge try to hypnotize the kids into good behavior! But then the kids end up like mindless zombies worrying their parents! So Marge and Homer promise never to do it again! So Bart and Lisa wink and cast off their ruse! So Marge says to get the watch again! It’s not much, but it’s more of that trademark mix of sweetness (Homer and Marge being genuinely concerned when their kids seem off) and cynicism (the kids tricking their parents so they can keep misbehaving) that would come to characterize The Simpsons.
