“The Telltale Head” is an unoriginal morality tale that lays the drama on too thick. Also, the whole town trying to kill Bart after he decapitated the statue was overkill and bizarre. I did like the opening third of this episode, and the joke about how it will take “23 minutes and 5 seconds” to tell was surprisingly meta, but other than that it's a pretty bland one.
