Did I crib Homer's second set of wedding vows for my own wedding?

This episode shows beautifully how much heart there is in The Simpsons - my gf, who still dismisses it as merely “a cartoon”, inadvertently cooed when Homer remarries Marge.

[7.4/10] This is such a funny episode. The story for it is a little lumpy, with the transition from the Van Houten's divorce to Homer's worries that Marge will ditch him to his attempts to make up for his foibles in their marriage feeling particularly rocky. But the episode gets by on the shear laugh factor -- with the opening scene at Marge feeling annoyed at the family's blase, slovenly lifestyle as a particular highlight. And there's some good heart and emotional storytelling here, with Homer's real grand gesture ending up being making up for their crappy original wedding, and giving Marge the great dinner party she wanted at the same time. Sure, the episode goes all over the place at times, bouncing around to random stuff with Kirk and Luann, but it's all too damn funny to care, and the episode absolutely nails the landing. Great, hilarious stuff from the show.
