I’m not sure whether I’m going to get into this, but I’ll give it another episode or two. Didn’t take long to bring the race card into it with the comment about none white. Not keen on the rap music either, and what’s the obsession these days with adding another language so that subtitles are necessary? It seems to be every series I switch on these days.
It should have been made to try and be more faithful to the books than the movie. Since it was made these days, it’s even less faithful.
With Mulgarath (Christian Slater) having a girl goblin sidekick that I don’t think was in the books.
The movie had silly things like tomato sauce killing goblins. Which I don’t think was in the books.
It did at least get the casting right with better performances. The movie was also more magical with a great James Horner musical score.
In this version there’s also too much teen drama and not enough magic so far. Horner’s great score was of course replaced with rap music.
I thought slow going and little bits stood out .. at the last 20 mins or so it came together and got me im in with this!!!! Cam on!!!!! :grin:

The series is good, its content, acting etc. are also good. There is nothing to say about the effects anyway. I love fantasy TV series, but I couldn't get into this series, but I will continue, maybe the future will be better.:thumbsup:
