This was a nice story about second chances, although Walter might have been better off just reading a couple of self-help books. While this didn't get into heavy science fiction, the pacing and mood reminded me of many of the original "The Outer Limits" episodes.

This has one of the Twilight Zone's best opening scenes and I thought it was quite shocking. Speaking of shockers, after Alan narrowly escapes being hit by a car...well, the reveal is pretty great (when he peels back the "skin" of his arm, revealing the robot hardware, there was little advance warning something so crazy was going to be shown). It did look to me like there was a spring or two loose in there. That seems to be either a special effects gaffe or the reason why Alan is always nursing his arm after his accident.

The best part of the episode was when Alan and Walter are fighting in the lab. They were kicking the crap out of each other! They trashed the place! The cut to the final twist is well done.
