To think there's a universe out there where Doggett and Reyes are both dead.
Finally, an opportunity to peer into the mind of Agent Reyes. The plot about a killer who can move between parallel dimensions is kind of neat in a Fringe sort of way. It's never explained how it's possible, but it doesn't matter because Annabeth Gish shines as she tries to save Agent Doggett. There is a story hole or two, and some things set up early are forgotten about, but this is about Reyes and her character arch.

Great episode! I though the parralel world and ability of the villain was really well done and well explained and well showcased.
The ending was a little weak with the villain being killed like that, and then reality resetting once the other Dogett died, but i still think it's a great episode.
Annabeth's acting was quite good this episode and it gave her a lot more to do. Robert's acting was good too even though he was immobile for most of it.
The ability of the villain would have been much more deadly in the hands of a more capable and intelligent villain. Basically has the ability to near instantly teleport and instantly escape from any situation. Plus if he left his mother alone he would have gotten away with it.
The ending......is absolutely FABULOUS!
The resolution really made no sense How does killing Doggett in this universe somehow reset everything?, but maybe I just need to suspend my disbelief a little more. And the stereotypical serial killer with mommy issues was a bit much, to be honest. Otherwise, a really interesting and well-crafted episode.
I think it would be nice to have few seasons with Dogget and Reyes running the X-Files (even without Scully - they're so great each one to self and as a team too), too bad there was only this one.
