That is just embarrassing. I'm sorry. This is an amazing show, and aside from the poorly-explained decision not to have any of the characters talk together in the direct aftermath of the punch-up at the Thanksgiving dinner, it's been perfect and glorious. But I'm sorry, ending on one of the most ridiculed and played-out tropes in the history of filmed drama is just baffling. I mean, this is a funny show – are we meant to see that ending as a joke? Because that's the only way you could defend doing that, and it still would make no sense. Seriously, why.
