This was the best episode so far! Finally less Jake and more jakuza.
This series is intense. Can't wait to see more.
Jake is playing the gaijin card cleverly here. “My Japanese is so bad let’s switch over and then also throw all Japanese mannerisms over board because this way I can get what I came here for”. Smart.
And girl has got a yak-bf… something silly like extortion by a third party should easily be resolved no?
Disappointed but not surprised that people like the most violent episode best.
The slowness of this series is really wearing on me.
68 | Ishida is a real deal. The yakuza war that we waiting for finally begins. This episode has the best scene so far in Tokyo Vice. But there were a couple of minus points, it was unfortunate when some character has a good performance, there were also other characters who had an awkward performance. Anyways, this was an episode that showed explicitly the rivalry between clans, and we need a lot of that.

Jake is getting a bit needy/annoying, hopefully it’s just a character arc. I’m shocked Samantha and Sato got together, though they do seem to fit well.
What an ending. This will surely spark a gang war.
