I liked the addition of Sarah Cavendish and the cases were generally great. That said, this season frustrated me that neither the departure of Katrina nor Grace's cancer was ever mentioned again, even allowing for the extended interval between 8 and 9. Waking The Dead isn't great at fleshing out the main characters. When Grace had a bad fall in 'Solidarity', you would have expected it to have been mentioned, even in passing, and yet...
Still, it was a solid final season and a good send off.
