Probably my absolute favourite episode, my heart broke slightly when they touched on Robin's background with the Flying Graysons. I kind of wish they had explained more on it, for those who didn't know or even those who did, but as I said, it was a fantastic episode. Plus they all looked adorable in their Danger outfits.
Amazing episode!!!!!! This last episodes keeps getting better!!!!! I loved to see Dick's past in the circus. His story is almost tragic like Batman's one. The Flying Graysons are truly a sad story. Oh boy, I enjoyed to see Parasite. He is a deadly Superman's foe. I loved how he remarked how Superboy recovery was more fast than the Man of Tomorrow. Anyways, another espetacular episode!!!!!!

[7.3/10] It’s nice to see Robin have his turn in the spotlight. If you’ve seen “Robin’s Reckoning” from Batman: The Animated Series, or even some of the character’s more intense run-ins with Slade on Teen Titans, this is nothing groundbreaking or superlative, but it’s solid. I like Dick working so hard to protect Mr. Haly and his circus, since it’s the place he grew up. Like his mentor, he doesn’t want to come clean about his attachments, but him imploring his teammates to keep an open mind says it all. And Mr. Haly recognizing him after all is said and done, and having him do his trapeze act one more time, is a sweet touch.
I’m a little more sanguine on the main plot though. The group going undercover in a circus feels weirdly implausible, even on such an out there show. The bad guy conveniently traveling on the parade route that just so happens to coincide with locations of parts for a black hole generator seems contrived. Even the involvement of the Interpol official seems generic and a waste of Clancy Brown’s talents.
I did like the mystery involving Parasite. The idea of him absorbing various circus performers’ talents to commit crimes is clever, and him sucking up Miss Martian and Superboy’s powers makes him formidable. Plus, I like the reveal that he’s the source of everyone’s “24 hour bug.” At the same time, his design is creepy, and the voice actor does a good job of making him sound like an intimidating jerk. Last but not least, I appreciate that they beat him by reckoning that if he absorbed M’gaan’s powers, he got her weaknesses too, so that heat will incapacitate him.
All that said, Superboy going too hard on “shields” felt a little too “Willow gets addicted to magic” to me. I get what they’re going for, with Superboy taking a shortcut to being the hero he aspires to be and paying the price for it in extra hotheadedness, but it doesn’t come off especially well. Plus, Red Arrow seems too assured that none of his teammates are the mole, which only lends credence to my theory that he’s secretly the mole.
Overall, this one is still solid in what it goes for, but doesn’t soar with the level of depth or sharp storytelling of prior episodes.
