This one was new.Loved it.
Amazing episode!!!!!! I enjoyed throughly Mis Martian, Kid Flash and Artemis!! Right now, they are the best parts of this show. Kid Flash and Artemis are really much fun to watch. I loved them together!!! Miss Martian is so adorable! I'm enjoying how her relationship with Superboy is progressing. Superboy and Robin are good, but they aren't charasmatic like the others metioned before. Aqualad is useless and boring. The animation was superb again, like in the first espisodes. Very cool episode!

[8.0/10] The premise of this one is super cool. In truth, it might have been a little better to wait until later in the series to do a “Everyone forgets the events of the show so far and reverts back to who they were before they met” episode. But it’s still engaging to watch the Young Justice team interact with one another as blank slates, knowing what the audience knows, but the heroes don’t yet.
Wally and Artemis are a lot friendlier with one another when Wally doesn’t fear he’s being usurped. Superboy is near-feral again. M’gaan is excited to be on Earth. Robin’s confused as to why he is where he is. Aqualad is calling out for Tula. Seeing the team reform to some degree, even without the supervision of the League, replete with misunderstandings and some hesitation, is a cool setup.
The same goes for Miss Martian’s stand-off with Psimon. I am a sucker for the sort of trippy, battles of the mind this one indulges in. Watching M’Gaan use her mental powers against a fellow practitioner lets the animators cut loose a bit in terms of the imagery, and the resulting skirmish is very cool. Despite looking a bit like a Dragon Ball Z character, Psimon is a formidable enemy, and his “kick my psychic butt” line is a hoot. The mechanics of how Superboy helps her fight him are a little fuzzy, but it works on an emotional level, so I’m apt to give it a pass.
Plus hey, the idea that the whole mission led to the team getting a...sentient alien ball friend(?) is pretty fun. I like when this show gets a little extra weird and comic book-y, and a portal to an alien world that sends sapient sphere pals over certainly qualifies.
There’s a sense of mystery, tension, and excitement here that marks it as one of the show’s best in the early going here. Throw in the character beats of Kid Flash and Artemis bonding without their baggage, and M’gaan and Superboy defeating evil with their combined forces and friendship, and you have a superb outing for the show.
