The most original season, but quality is inequal. In the manga the beginning of the end can already be seen as drawing quality lowers at terrible levels, which can be seen in the anime in Sensui's final forms that are... ugh... I don't even have the words for it. And it can be felt in the story too.
The beginning is good, a bit slow but it changes from the pure fights of the tournament, and people having different non combat power is fresh. Superb idea with Sensui's 7 personalities that is sadly under exploited (like you don't even see them all, some are not even named). Not sure it was planned like this but another disappointment is that Sensui turns out to have basically the same motivations as Toguro.
Still some good parts, Doctor, Sniper and Game Master fights are pretty cool. (One can recognize the draft for HxH's Greed Island sport tournament)
The initial fight with Sensui and the reveal of Yusuke being a Mazoku descendant are also great.
