This has very few redeeming qualities. The pyramid set design is cool.
I laughed at the monster attack sound that sounded like Scooby Doo eating a sandwich. All the characters are horrible at their jobs.
Why was that the strategy to defeat the invisible guy?!?!
This is a Westworld inspired episode?!
I remember watching this as a kid, and still remember them showing how the did the transporter effect.
The surfer disguises for Commisioner Gordon and Chief O'Hara are amazing. Hot dog radios are hilarious. Barbara's swimsuit is too hot for TV. Wonderful surfing sequence. Cowabunga!
Update of 31x01 The Last Ride
Peacock lists this as S28E35
Peacock and TVDB list two episodes as S18E24. The Valentine's Day Mystery and Recipe for Murder. They aired on the same day, presumably two one hour segments of a two hour broadcast.
It's technically not part of the Beach Party series, but it's the same type of movie. Annette and other common actors have different character names, except for Eric Von Zipper and his gang.
Good fun, silly alien stuff.
Excellent Star Trek parody episode. I'm sure I didn't understand the references as a kid.
What a weird movie. Aimed at kids with lots of jokes only adults will understand. Lots of kid daydreaming sequences and strange stuff.
It was missing the charm or something from the show. They tried to make an Indiana Jones movie starring Phryne. Convoluted, and the beginning sequence was far too much.
Sandman is the villian but J. Pauline Spaghetti definitely murdered her 4 husbands in industrial "accidents"
It's an Adult Gremlins knock off with sex, drugs, and rock and roll. The Munchies drive a Gremlin, and the paper has a big Gremlin! headline on it. I enjoyed it because it knows it is campy and leans into it.
Great stuff in this pair of episodes. I love the special "Wham-eth" graphics. Maid Marilyn is a great part of the Archer's crew.
A very interesting concept, and pretty well executed. No creepy family stuff that has shown up in similar shows like Dated & Related or MILF Manor. I feel like it went too fast. They needed more date days and time for people to settle in. It seemed like it was filmed in less than two weeks and it should have been a month.
The laser cutter segment is very cool! The calibrating was fascinating.
