The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie

An extremely good adaption of the show, with a fun plot with some great stakes. Let down a bit by the exclusion of certain characters and slightly weaker humor than the show's early seasons.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water

An unexpectedly good sequel to the 2004 original, only dragged down by an extremely aimless and random middle. First third surpasses it with some great comedy, an interesting enough plot, and even some fun action. The climax is also a lot of fun, even if I would have preferred it to be in 2D.

Jungle Cruise

Fun action flick, nothing special though.

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

Home Alone 2 is a copy-paste sequel, but that is by no means a bad thing. While the film starts off slow, once you hit the airport scene the comedy shoots to the same lengths as the original, with a few scenes even surpassing it in my eyes. And this film's trap sequence soars above the original thanks to a much greater level of violence. Both this and the original are excellent Christmas-themed comedies.

Die Hard

The film that set the standard for action films for the following decade, and one that has everything needed for a fantastic action film. A main character with humanity who you can relate to and one that feels vulnerable, an excellent villain, and some great action scenes. Add in a lot of humor and you get an excellent action film.

Die Hard 2

Die Harder takes the same idea to an airport and gets some good fun out of the new location. It's definitely far weaker than the original, most notably having a far weaker villain and less engaging action, but it's still a good time.

The Polar Express

Perhaps the only movie based on a book that significantly expands and adds stuff compared to the original book. As a kid who loved trains growing up, this was a film I adored. I still do. The animation still holds up and looks great for the most part (Especially the Blu-Ray!) and I will die on that hill. The songs are extremely good and memorable, particularly "When Christmas Comes to Town" and "Believe". Silvestri's score is also excellent and severely underappreciated compared to the vocal songs. The action sequences are all tons of fun to watch and the film has a great mythical quality when it comes to characters like the Hobo. The plot is the weakest aspect of the film, with a number of things blatantly not making sense (Hero Girl losing her ticket = Driving the Train?) and it can be difficult to get past for many. But I've always viewed this movie as a fun Christmas-themed roller coaster ride to go on every year, and an excellent encapsulation of everything the holiday is about.

Home Alone 3

Decent fun, though a massive step down from the first two.

Die Hard: With a Vengeance

This one really didn't jive with me. Plot felt very aimless, pacing was bad, and it was obvious that this was meant to be a standalone film that got changed into a Die Hard film.

Sonic the Hedgehog

A fun road trip film, with Jim Carrey stealing the show. Suffers a bit from it's lack of faithfulness to the source material.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2

It's a lot of fun and far more faithful than the first film. Dragged down slightly by some cringy humor and I wish Tails had more screentime but that's it.
