two hours of my life i will never get back. the constant failure gave me anxiety and made me grit my teeth hard. coupled with an ending perfectly fitting a man for whom everything in life goes horribly wrong, this movie is a prime example of why i always steer clear of anything that gets high praise from too many people, especially when the majority of the people who like it are men.
my biggest problem with this season is that it seems out of character for nancy to have another kid... she wouldn't add on to the responsibility pile! even if she just had the kid as a front so esteban wouldn't kill her, nancy would have found a solution and then gotten an abortion. ie, she should have ratted esteban out to DEA who was looking for him anyway, and then had the abortion.

This season is lacking. The first two were jam-packed with interesting storylines and revealing backstory. This season's "mini-plots" within the jail had me bored. The past two seasons were binge watched within a few days because the were so entertaining that they had me on the edge of my seat. This season was binge watched within a few days because I was desperate and hopeful to see if the next episode would be better than the last. I was not impressed with season 3, and I don't think it was worth the one year wait!
If you've read the play by Tracy Letts and enjoyed the way Letts finished off the last scene of the play with a quote by T.S. Eliot (which leaves you with the idea that you truly are alone in this world), you will not like the direction the movie took at the end because it was optimistic.
