Starts off pretty bad then all of a sudden you've been awake for 20 hours and binge watched the entire thing.
Persevere through those initial few bad episodes and you're in for a right treat.
Another one of those shows that starts off pretty meh then finds it's footing and takes a significant turn for the better.
Gave up half way through season 1, gave it another chance, and now I can't wait for each new episode!
It's about what you'd expect a teenage fantasy drama on MTV to be like! Lots of teenage rubbish - poorly developed love triangles and all that, so avoid if you can't stand that stuff! Characters are pretty tropey and 2-dimensional with little development, although the story itself is OK.
Visual effects are probably the main reason to watch - they're mostly stunning, although do occasionally fall short.
Title sequence is something else though... could watch that all day!
This show was great once... it was deep, emotional, creepy, yet funny and optimistic at the same time.
I swear each episode is more over-the-top than the last these days and I really don't like that. I'm sure it still appeals to many, many people, but it's completely lost the substance and intelligence that made me look forward to watching it every week.
Besides, there's only so many identical Dalek/Cybermen episodes I can watch before getting terminally bored with the whole thing.
Super predictable plot, nothing new but certainly enjoyable! Needs to be watched in 1080p with the biggest sound system you have - the visuals are stunning and the sound design is even better... worth watching just for that!
Completely worth watching for Mia Wasikowska's contact lenses and the killer song at the end.
For this movie they got the best special effects they could find, then added some more special effects then mixed that into a special effects soup. Movie is not bad but not outstanding but well worth the watch for the visuals alone.
Movie turned out to be more of an action/sci-fi affair than I was expecting and I was absolutely fine with that!
Sidenote: Thought the new Superman was awesome, but didn't rate the new Lois Lane.
Not the best movie in the world by a long shot but not bad if you just want to watch explosions for a couple of hours. Premise is painfully similar to Olympus Has Fallen, which is the better movie.
Longest runway ever!
Guns, tanks, planes, helicopters, explosions and of course fast cars. It's a Fast and Furious movie - you know what to expect!
