What a thrilling episode! Shocking ending with Kevin dying. I think that Virgil has killed himself so he can guide Kevin to battle his 'adversary'. And Michael was pulling Kevin to bury him so he could come back to life, just like the bird Erika buried that later came back to life. So no, I don't think that Kevin is gone for good.
I cried, I laughed, and I cried again. What a wonderful conclusion to an extraordinary season. Damon Lindelof clearly learned from his mistakes on Lost. I hope it gets renewed for a third season, but even if it didn't, I'm satisfied with that finale.
This episode felt like a reboot for Marnie. A way to make her likable again, or at least less-hated. And the re-introduction of a person from the past to do that was brilliant.
Having the surprising, yet welcome, return of Christopher "Charlie" Abbott, was one of the highlights of the episode, and I really loved the way it happened, where Marnie was just walking and listening to music and she meets Hun out of nowhere.
We saw how much he has changed since the break-up, he's gained weight, got a new accent, grew a beard, and got himself a new job as a drug dealer (and quite possibly an abuser).
It was nice seeing how the two would react after not seeing each other for a long time. We got to see a glimpse of what could've been had they stayed together. And despite everything, we still got to see the same old narcissistic Marnie at the shop.
Desi's confrontation at the end of the episode was hilarious, mainly due to his prediction of Marnie getting murdered in the future.
And the final shot with Hannah was adorable, showing us that no matter what, these two girls have each other's back in the end. What a beautiful episode, this season has been excellent so far.
Beautiful. Can't complain at all. It ended everything in a good way, not as some of us have hoped, but good nonetheless. Mad Men was Matt Weiner's ride all along, and we were just the passengers, it was always his call.
What a brilliant episode! The season's best to date.
HACF has always been capable of delivering emotional scenes and that's exactly what we got tonight.
Although we never get to see Gordon's death, I still cried and felt sad. That's because every single actor conveys the emotions of grief and shock perfectly, from Katie picking up Donna's call instead of Gordon, to Joe's face when Donna tells him about Gordon's death in a flat tone. For some reason, I thought that Gordon would die from electrocution while fixing the AC, I guess he did die but not the way I expected.
I cannot wait to see what happens next week, will we get a time-jump, or will it continue right after the events of this episode? (probably the former)
HACF will surely be missed after it finishes its four-season run, and I will remember it as a terrific show that has been criminally underwatched.
Flash forwards usually happen at season premieres and not finales, but HACF was able to pull it off with this great episode. It's great to see that the original three are back together again.
Although I felt bad for Donna (to be ousted by Cam and to be pushed away by Gordon when she was obviously flirting with him), she had it coming all along.
Looks like the antihero of the next season is going to be Donna (instead of Joe, the usual go-to guy when it comes to being an asshole). Cam and Tom's marriage looks like a bomb waiting to explode.
Can't wait to see what the showrunners are going to do in the next (un-expected) season.
Poor Lance, he could've gone back home with Henry. I knew there was something wrong with Daniel.
Can't wait to see how this situation with Canning plays out! Who knows, maybe she'll be back with Cary and Diane next season.
