I hope Ford faked his death with a Host version of himself.

@konvar lol my very first thought!! Probably a programmed scene to the event. Remember quoting Ford "The piano doesn't murder the player if it doesn't like the music" grins

@konvar Exactly my thoughts! Remember we didn't see that host being created in episode 7? it would be insane if it was Ford's replacement. And that handshake between Ford and Bernardino felt weird. And why the zoom in? It was like they were trying to say something. And in the Westworld movie, the only way to know whether a person was a host or not were the hands. So it could also be a wink to the film.

@konvar I hope he's making the sacrifice just like Arnold did and will be reborn as a host. That way Dolores kills his human body to be reborn in code.

@konvar would love for him to come back, but that would loose the "poeticness" of his death...

@konvar I am not sure what to believe anymore. My first thought was also that it might've been a host, but this series keeps suprising me so he might as well be dead.

@konvar My first thought even went further, not just faking his death - the whole last 2 episodes gave the the impression that: ALL are already HOSTS no matter of inside of Westworld or outside - only the "think they are humans-but are already replaced through Hosts" have already gone through the process the Hosts inside Westworld have now from time to time.

So short, both groups may be hosts, but think only the other group is, no humans alive anymore since a long time.
If Ford comes back till season 2 final, I go with this version, and I'm sure he will.
(I'm not a writer of this show, so can't spoiler)
