@sunny_senpai isn't it supposed to be our Sun, affected by the protomolecule? This episode was a tad trippy for me to be able to grasp much of it, but after Holden's "vision" (or what the hell that was) at the end of the episode, I got the feeling that the protomolecule is aiming for our Sun, probably killing all life in the Solar System.

No because you can see the sun being farther away from all the planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars and Jupiter) and this big blue thing is at the last after Jupiter, possibly the nucleus of the ring idk.

It turns blue after covering all the planets btw.
@sunny_senpai yes, I've just confirmed it for myself, you're right. I'm guessing it's not the same thing that appeared in Holden's vision, because that was clearly our Sun turning blue after getting hit by some sort of beam fired from the ring. There's still much to be told, I'm sure, we'll just have to wait and see.

In the opening intro song of the series, you can see a large blue-ish big ball at the end where all the planets are aligned in a straight line.
