Calvary was fantastic. It covered some very weighty subject matter, while still managing to have some very bleak and dark comedic moments. The film was beautifully shot and had an outstanding cast of characters, with a particularly great performance by Brendan Gleeson. The eventual reveal of the antagonist wasn't foreshadowed by any of their previous interactions at all though, leading to a not completely satisfying ending.
