Firecrackers is a short-film turned feature and coming of age (the Canadian style) which has certainly some good parts, but also felt needlessly destructive at times (due to very stupid actions). I was tending around 1pt higher of a rating but I am adjusting this for me as the director of this work would have wanted. The Q&A certainly brought up the favorite feminist vocabulary and going out of the way to shit on men... Also, if you are trying to shoehorn in trans topics, try to do it more naturally.
