Being a Swede the one thing I could relate to the most but not sure if it is specific to Sweden is that I do not talk to my neighbors. The thing about the first love however broke my heart when Bruce went on that rant and I just wanted to scream "you stupid cocky arrogant f*ck" :( The funniest part in the entire series was when Hassan and Bruce played call of duty and Bruce asked "How do you know all the shortcuts on these maps?" and Hassan answers "I used to live there before the war". That really cracked me up. If I am going to be serious for a minute there is a sad reality to/behind this series. I know a few Americans who moved here (that I've worked with in the IT industry) to follow their beloved and then they become alienated or alienate themselves because it is such a different society from America and it moves in a different pace in general. An outspoken American will most likely find it hard to fit in except in the heart of either Gothenburg, Stockholm or Malmö because being an energetic loud obnoxious person (American) will make people where I'm from uncomfortable and I'm even from the south where it is more accepted. In the northern parts of Sweden, not shown in this series which is 60% of the area of the country (rarely visited by foreigners) people are even more introverted. One last thing, even if Sweden was crowned the best non native English speaking country doesn't make it easy and natural for most swedes to use it, which is something we saw/got hints of in one episode. I have experienced that myself being with my American friends where many people we encounter have a hard time keeping up with fast paced English and most important actually get exhausted by using it in a longer conversation. Lucky that Sweden loves America and an American can live here for over 30 years without learning any Swedish at all and still be accepted :)
