I think this is such a well done sequel to a film done over 20 years later. I realize that some are unhappy about the changes to the game itself, but I feel like it was a brilliant way to incorporate it changing as times changed. The game adapted itself. Video games became more popular than board games; so it fits. In this case I don't see any real reason for such a detail to have stayed the same, because it wasn't a redo; it was a sequel and a new story, and a redo just wasn't needed since the first was so good standing on its own. I think most of us can agree that good ones don't necessarily need to be redone, but that making something new from the inspiration of the old can be a lot of fun. Speaking of fun, this movie makes me laugh a lot! Oh yeah, and I loved the short and sweet way they did the callback to the original; "Alan Parrish was here."
