[Filmin] A friendship story well written but with too much length. The first part wonderfully underscores everyday life, marking the contradiction between aspiring to broaden life horizons or sacrificing a certain freedom to preserve indigenous origins. The film is damaged by that tendency to recreate itself in the drama that the new Canadian filmmakers seem to have, and that contaminates the third act.
