Your lie in April 2014

Six episodes in, I can't get into this anime.
The slapstick humor seemed forced for a drama anime like this. Most of the main characters are unlikable. And this anime tried way too hard to manipulate my feelings, only to end up having me laugh like a shitty terrible person when someone cries.
The only saving grace of this anime was the musical performances. But that was it.
Yep, I am not going to continue watching this anime.

@doctorwhowhenhowwhy Helps if you have a past in performance of any kind. Especially music, but sports or anything seems would work. Emotional dramas are for everyone...the same person that might watch Hostel and laugh instead of throw up, for instance. Or an Otaku that never really left the bedroom. Probably not going get it... I'd say you need some degree of emotional depth, not for the Dr.Who aspergers cases out there... that's for sure. But obviously it's become as popular as is because reaches an audience out there that has an emotional range to manipulate at all.

yup way to disrespect a good anime with your lack of understanding
