Triangle 2009

Ocean + Triangle = I thought it's about them stranded in Bermuda Triangle, well I'm glad that I'm wrong. It's been a long time I watched a movie that makes me keep guessing on what is this all about.

Such a well made and executed plot which keeps wondering what is really happening till the end. This movie does not lay the answers easily to the audience whereby it requires you to process the plot properly in order for you to understand on what's really going on.

'Driver' towards the end made this clearer on what's the whole story all about. Well, it's proven literally nothing in our hand to change the fate / destiny.

Please watch it, it's a steady pace movie with an solid good plot.

Seriously ? I actually think that the ending is a black hole of plot holes.

At the end they reveal that the original Jess (The one from the beginning) is aware and knows everything. IE she knows what is going to happen if she gets in the boat and goes to the trip. She knows there will be multiple versions of her running around. So why is she surprised when it actually happens ? She knows she is the killer all along. Why doesn't she start killing her friends as soon as they board the ship ?

Another matter, how did she figure that killing everyone will enable her to go home?

I agree that there is a self fulfilling prophecy motif here, but it doesn't prove that nothing can change destiny\fate because Jess does absolutely nothing differently.

Every iteration of this loop she does the exact same thing.
I mean She knows that her son is going to die in a car accident - she knows it, yet she still drives him and stops in the exact same spot to pick up the exact same bird for like 20 times in a raw (Judging by the amount of dead birds on a sidewalk). Why didn't she take the day off ? Or drive in a different route ?

Anyway, as I said I did enjoy the movie, but I think that plot holes here are plentiful.
