Loosely based on a true story the film hits a lot of the highlighs and is a lot of fun. Both Pegg and Serkis deliver strong performances. The supporting cast of Tom Wilkinson, Tim Curry, Bill Bailey and Isla Fisher are just that but what screen time they have they present well. The film is directed by John Landis, his first in over a decade, however feels quite a departure from his earlier fare. It's a dark comedy well worth the investment.
