Unfortunately that has been a misunderstanding, what was meant by toei was the Black Moon Saga which is part of the 1st season but were the 2nd 13 episodes. In total there is one season of 26 episodes and no confirmation yet whether it will continue. I sure hope they will though!

Oh yes sir. The second series of Sailor Moon Crystal has been confirmed to be premiering in the summer after this first original set of 26 episodes concludes. I'm ready to be milked, Toei. Bring it on.
