@zarekaramasama Yes and I believe it's also about familial archetypes and the unfair expectations put on family members. Like how the oldest has to be 'strong', the golden child 'perfect' which is represented by their gifts strength and flowers. So the bigger message would be that of acceptance, not only of yourself, but those around you. That things don't have to be perfect, people don't have to fit in boxes and that love can truly be achieved when you accept people (specifically family in this context) for who they are.

We don't talk about Bruno.. no, no, no! This movie has a very sharp message for how much is going on. It's easy to miss the main message of the movie- which I thought was "You are special with and without 'Gifts', but be proud of the gifts you have as well" Or something along those lines. I also feel like the way they conveyed the message was a bit more catired to teens.
