Before the new season of Dexter is starting I have to get something off my chest. I think the last season (6) was incredible bad, it wasn't even close to the quality season 1-4 had. Here is the problem: Since 5 seasons we know Dexter as a family guy and there was no sign, not even a thought about beeing a christian and all of a sudden there is christ everywhere and everything is about christ & salvation. I did absolutely not fit into the picture and not to mention he or the producers of the show never mentioned Ester or Cody once, nothing, like they wouldn't even exist. To me it was just a filler, only serving a purpose to introduce Dexters groupie (the game programmer) which will play a bigger part in S7, getting the kids out of sight (ok, Ester will appear in s07e08 again) & most of all, the situation with Deb.
I love Dexter, but it's going far to long now. IMO season 7 should have been season 6. I don't know maybe the contract was saying that there have to be 7 seasons... I'm just hoping that season 7 will be up to the old standard again, not this predictable s#!+, we most certainly don't need a 8th season! As for now the trailer is looking crazy - so my hopes are high.
