I'm old enough to remember the appearance of David Bowie - but over years the act and theatre has become secondary to the fact that he made some of the songs that made an era.
But this documentary reminded me of how shocking, how innovative, how creative he really was in those early years, and how he became a "rock god".
If you know of David Bowie, this is a wonderful walk up memory lane. If you only know Bowie as some famous guy who died recently, this will be an education into how the one man changed music.
