"Smiley Face" is possibly the greatest stoner comedy of all time, so why haven't most people heard of it?
The movie stars Anna Faris and c'mon, what better woman could you have picked to play a character stoned out of her mind for the entire movie? It's also got John Krasinski and a million cameos.
Do you need to have smoked weed to enjoy this movie? Probably not, but it certainly does make some scenes a lot more relatable. And I'm sure a lot of us know at least one person that acts like this typical "wake 'n bake." Whether you're stoned or not, this movie is hilarious. Every single joke lands and I can;t thing of any jokes that didn't get funnier the more I thought about it.
Overall, this movie is just about watching someone make very bad decisions. Repeatedly. It's definitely one of the most underrated comedies that I've seen. And, OH MY GOD, it's from the same director as "Mysterious Skin." Pretty versatile. As you can tell, you can also expect this movie to be well-directed.
