The only thing I don't like about this show is the intro music. It's ridiculous how much I dislike it, I feel almost physically ill from listening to it as you would from nails on a chalk board... I don't know, maybe I'm the only one who dislikes it so much but I really hope they change it for season 2.
The show in itself is awesome though!

Yes, you are the only one who thinks that. The opening sequence has literally won awards, it's by far the best of any running television show.

@seanmsu Okay, yes I'll have to concede that it's probably just me who hates it. But do you think it's actually better than for example Westworld or Game of Thrones?

@deskrabbit Yes, it is better than both of those in my opinion. The intro song is meant to slide the tone of the show into your mind and it's music and imagery are perfect for that. The only intros that I would possibly consider better are Twin Peaks, Mad Men, or either season of The Leftovers and even those are a stretch.

@seanmsu Obviously we have widely different opinions on this subject... :)

I believe the intro song, called 'Edelweiss' written by Rogers & Hammerstein for 1959 'Sound of Music', to express Austrian patriotism in the face of the Nazi takeover. The MITHC classical version is a huge improvement on the original, and fits the theme very well due to the patriotism and the postwar (1962) period when MITHC is set.
