Dexter 2006

@destielstarship If people are fans of a show and have invested time into watching multiples seasons because they thought they were good and the show starts taking a dive, why shouldn't they be upset? As far as leaving the fandom alone, I'd suggest that if you don't like criticism of things, you probably should stop using the Internet :).

I really like this show for what it is. It isn't the best show on TV, and there may have been only one season that even entered the Top 10 on my year end lists. But it's enjoyable suspense, with an intriguing concept and great lead actor. The reason it doesn't reach beyond that are for two reasons, acting and writing. The actors that play Deb & Rita are awful, and they've been awful in everything I've ever seen them in. This is compounded when the writers depend too much on those two characters to create problems for Dexter. Given his situation it's bound to happen, but the reliance on Deb & Rita's stupidity to create suspense gets annoying. You can add Astor and Quinn to that list of awfulness as well.

As far as Season 6 goes, I echo what others have said, last season should have been the plot this season is beginning with.

All that said I love Michael C. Hall, and many of the guest stars throughout the years (Lithgow, Mos Def) have been great additions to the cast. I still find myself enjoying the show more than I dislike it. It's a very solid 7/10.
