2016: Obama's America 2012

Love Him, Hate Him, You Don't Know Him
2016: Obama's America takes audiences on a gripping visual journey into the heart of the worlds most powerful office to reveal the struggle of whether one man's past will redefine America over the next four years. The film examines the question, "If Obama wins a second term, where will we be in 2016?" Across the globe and in America, people in 2008 hungered for a leader who would unite and lift us from economic turmoil and war. True to Americas ideals, they invested their hope in a new kind of president, Barack Obama. What they didn't know is that Obama is a man with a past, and in powerful ways that past defines him--who he is, how he thinks, and where he intends to take America and the world. Immersed in exotic locales across four continents, best selling author Dinesh DSouza races against time to find answers to Obama's past and reveal where America will be in 2016.

Watched this out of curiosity and was pretty unimpressed. It's beautifully shot and they clearly had fun blowing their budget on trips to exotic locales, but it falls short in every other aspect. It's arguments are simplistic, and lack any real convincing evidence. While it will appeal to the anti-Obama camp, it is unlikely to win over any new converts.

I could go into more detail but this review says it better than I could: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/review/2016-obamas-america-film-review-358302

Outstanding Film! I could have never thought of the case that was so convincingly laid out by the Author. The evidence against Obama's dream is his very own words which are so eloquently presented. I fear the President is so adept at speaking to American's (pandering) that we will wake up one day somewhere at the conclusion of his second term and wonder what happened to America, "The Shining City Upon a Hill." Unfortunately, the opposition in no way seems prepared to accept the mantle and thus will continue to lead the way to America's decline which the author so eloquently points out as America's national debt.
