A new favorite! You've got your typical - and beloved - jurors acting as investigators trope, but then this movie goes further and throws unexpected twists at you that make both you and the jurors doubt their presumptions. Park Hyung-sik is brilliant as the eighth juror and honestly, I loved seeing all eight jurors play their parts; the way they were actually able to influence each other's opinions was a beautiful thing to see in this age of people shouting at each other on social media without actually listening to one another.
Overall though, this is just a really fun movie to watch - I highly recommend it to people who enjoy legal dramas, trials, and detective stuff in general.
Fascinating film retailing a piece of history that change inside the court room where Korea finally started adding jurors to court rooms starting January 7 2008. Here is when the movie opens up retelling a true story and events even though the movie diverge from aspect that could accoured inside the court room from perhaps obvious reasons to make the movie more inticing to watch which converts the film actually quite entertaining to fallow as this typical ordinary case turns into a story of its own. But the true core events and story is there.
One of the things that was really fascinating to see in this movie was the characters themselfs, such ordinary fellows but yet complex; because from juror one trough eight you can see each have a personality from the way everyone was dressed, the wardrobe was a key to showcase from a glance the difference of each. The way they acted and their hand gestures, no character felt the same. The one for me that stole the show was Moon So-Ri, (Judge) she is in charge with the case, the way this actress manage to act by maintain a proper diligent and poised personality above all the pressure of a Judge with a heavy burden to carry out the job without a flaw was truly a captivating perdormance. They all did a super job here. Truly a must see.

One of the best korean movies of this year, really enjoyable! This could've been a typical comedy but Hong Seungwan really pull this off!
My score: 8.5/10
