Like my underwear, this is comfortable but it doesn't age well and is stinky in parts.
The sexual humor is overly coarse for a PG-13 rom-com and detracts from the charm of the story, but not as badly as Rob Schneider's assault on Native Hawaiians.
Smooth = Flow / Acting / Direction / Concept.
I loved the efforts this guy puts to get the girl, that really show what kind of a man you are.
This is like 20% of The Vow which beats this in nearly every aspect.

Guilty pleasure! Not tired, and was sometimes genuinely funny and sometimes charming. Nothing special, but in this category really okey.

Classic Sandler is always a good time. Dumb humor, that’s always good for laughs. Classic Rom-Com Sandler has an extra special place in my heart. Between this and Wedding Singer, I could go back and forth about which one I actually like more. If you haven’t seen this, you really should check it out!

Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore star in the fun romantic comedy 50 First Dates. When Henry Roth falls for a girl with short term memory loss he has to find new and inventive ways to win her over every day before she forgets him. Both Sandler and Barrymore give strong performances and have good chemistry together. Additionally, the film has a solid supporting cast that includes Rob Schneider, Sean Astin, and Dan Aykroyd. The humor can be a little crude, but a lot of it works. And the story has a surprising amount of heart. While it has its problems, overall 50 First Dates is a cute film about the power of love.
As far as rom-coms go, this one was alright. Watching Sandler get repeatedly rejected was the best part of the movie.
I've seen this movie fifty times...maybe. I like to cry when I watch it...makes the experience more exquisite; the comedy, romance, family relationships, the sad and otherwise touching moments.
Can you say any one actor or actress's performance is really great? Perhaps not...and, as is often the case where one actor's performance is made "great" by the other's reactions -- because of how the scenes were shot and cut together we don't see a lot of that here. You can't even say the script is anything special.
Still, I'm giving it nine out of ten stars, and, I don't do that, except for movies like, "Fanny and Alexander," by Ingmar Bergman, or, "Carmen," by Carlos Saura. The reasons may be purely subjective, like how it channels our culture, how I like the cast and characters, how the comedy and pathos facets were ground into this gem stone...but, I like it very much.
A really sweet love story about a woman who suffers from short term amnesia and a man who falls in love with her. This a very gentle movie. Love Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore together right from The Wedding Singer. A great watch
I would not want to go on one date with Drew Barrymore she is horrid , 50 dates I’d rather be in prison.Sandler tries to save the movie and he’s great. The Wedding Singer was a better movie

For some reason this is one my all time favorite movies. I'm usually a sci-fi, action or fantasy movie fanatic. However, this movie just does just gets me every time, and I watch it whenever it come on TV.
