976-EVIL 1988

A supernatural slasher with a goofy central premise but not so great in execution. I was expecting more. The film moves dreadfully slow and is an incoherent mess. Quite understandable considering it's Robert Englund's directorial debut. It has made-for-cable look to it and not as fun as it sounds. I find the first half of the film more engaging, before it delves into a pretty lame demonic possession/slasher. It's horribly paced, poorly put together, and even I feel like some characters belong in a completely different film. It's worth tracking down though despite its many faults. Stephen Geoffreys' performance is entertaining and some neat practical effects made it quite enjoyable.

Very cheesy, very ridiculous. There's some elements that could be interesting, but this whole thing would work better as a short in an anthology.

Haven't watched a movie this bad in awhile. Stephen Geoffreys is just brutal.
